s Miller-Keystone Blood Bank will be here on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 from 3:30-7:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. Please contact Barbara DeLong at 610.767.6006 if you can make a donation.
s A meeting for potential confirmands, their parents, and potential mentors will be held Wednesday night, July 28, 2010 at 7:00pm in the grove. If you are interested in being a part of the 2012 Confirmation class, or one of the mentors, please sign up in the narthex.
s Family Fun Day will be held Sunday, August 1, 2010 following the 8:30am service. A covered dish luncheon will be served. There are also paper bags in the narthex to make up grab bags for the children.
s VBS Hero Headquarters will begin with a teaser session on Tuesday, July 27 through Thursday, July 29 from 9:00-12:30pm. The regular VBS session will begin Monday, August 2, 2010 and continue through Friday, August 6, 2010 from 9:00-12:30pm. Registration forms are included in the bulletin - if extra are needed, they are located in the narthex.
The 2010 Confirmation Class is collecting crushed aluminum cans to be recycled as a fund raiser for Good Shepherd. Crushed cans can be brought in and placed in the container in the Narthex.
Are you able and willing? The church office is looking for volunteers to help with various projects such as: filing, answering phones and taking messages off the answering machine, making copies on the copier and duplicator, making folders for new members, and other projects as they arise. If interested, please contact the church office at 610.767.9680.
Christian Education positions open! Christian Education is looking for a Sunday School Adult Class Teacher as well as Sunday School Superintendent. Job descriptions are located on the kiosk in the narthex, and criminal and child abuse clearances will be needed. If you are interested, please see Pastor James or Assistant Superintendent Brenda Horn.
Attention Key/Code Holders! Due to people sharing their codes with others, for security purposes new codes will be issued to all key/code holders. New codes will arrive by August 1, 2010, and will be available for pickup in the church office. Please bring your church keys with you at the time of getting your code so we can have an accurate account of what keys you may have. The effective date for the new codes will be September 1, 2010, after which you should destroy your old code. If you haven’t made contact with the office about having keys or needing a code, a new code will not be issued.
