Sunday School

Our Sunday School is designed to be a "safe church" space. That is to say, all of our adults working with children and youth have a criminal background check and child abuse check and there are two teachers for all children and youth classes.

The students and teachers gather in the Fellowship Hall for devotions at 9:30 and then are dismissed to their individual classes. At about 10:30 the staff and students return to the Fellowship Hall to enjoy a snack before going to church or home.

The following classes are provided:

  • Nursery - for children under the age of five
  • Beginners - for children beginning kindergarten through first grade
  • Primary - for children in second, third and fourth grade
  • Middler - for youth in fifth and sixth grade
  • Junior/Youth - for youth in seventh grade and up

In addition, we have an Adult Class that meets in the Sanctuary and also joins the rest of the Sunday School for a snack following class time.

As part of our Christian Education Ministry, we also have a vibrant Vacation Bible School program during the first week in August, a full confirmation process involving mentors, and a youth group that provides opportunity for the young people to interact with community and our home bound members.
